How we use your information
- To process and deliver your order, send order updates, and handle returns or refunds
- To answer your questions and provide support
- To keep records we need for tax and legal purposes
- To understand how people use our website so we can improve it and fix problems
- To protect our website and prevent fraud
We do not sell your personal information. If we start sending marketing emails in future, you will be able to unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the services that help us run the store:
- Payment providers: PayPal and WooPayments, to take payment
- Shipping: ShipStation and our delivery carriers, who receive your name, address and contact details to deliver your order
- Website services: our website hosting and the tools that run our online store
- Analytics: Google Analytics and Google Search Console (through Site Kit), Jetpack Stats and Microsoft Clarity, described below
We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
Analytics and cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your shopping basket working and to measure how the site is used.
- Google Analytics collects information about visits, such as pages viewed, device type and the general area you are in.
- Microsoft Clarity records anonymised information about how visitors use our pages, including clicks, taps and scrolling, and may create replays of visits. We use it to find parts of the site that are confusing or hard to use.
- Jetpack Stats counts visits and page views.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the store, such as the basket and checkout, may not work properly. Google also provides a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.
Information sent overseas
Some of the services we use, including Google, Microsoft, PayPal and our payment processor, may store or process information outside Australia. We choose providers that have their own privacy and security practices.
Keeping your information safe and how long we keep it
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no website or system is completely secure. We keep order and payment records for as long as we need them for tax and legal reasons, which is typically around five years, and keep other information only as long as it is useful.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing us. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, contact us first so we can try to fix it. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
